Thimphu

Thimphu is the capital of Bhutan. It is located in the Central-Western part of the country and is the most important state of the country. Thimphu or originally called as ‘Thimbu’ is the most modernised place in Bhutan with advanced amenities like multi cuisine restaurants, internet café, clubs, pubs etc. Nightlife vibes in Thimphu is one of the mostvibrant. Punakha is an important place for agriculture in Bhutan. Two rivers Po Chhu and Mo Chhu, flowing through through the valley make the soil fertile and appropriate for paddy farming. In addition, the climate of Panukha is suitable for agriculture as it is warmer than Thimphu or Paro.

It connects the region of Gelephu and Bumthang. Therefore, works as a connection between East and West Bhutan. The dzong and the watchtower of Trongsa are proofs that it had been a place of great importance for east-west trading in the ancient past.
