Paro

Paro is an important town of Bhutan as it has much economic and political significance. Paro town is situated in the Paro valley. Paro has an old history dated back to 14th century or even more. It is the most fertile place in Bhutan and also the widest valley in the country. The Paro Airport is the largest international airport of Bhutan. Paro is a land of mesmerising natural beauty, beautiful houses with traditional designs, and paddy fields.

Thimphu

Thimphu is the capital of Bhutan. It is located in the Central-Western part of the country and is the most important state of the country. Thimphu or originally called as ‘Thimbu’ is the most modernised place in Bhutan with advanced amenities like multi cuisine restaurants, internet café, clubs, pubs etc. Nightlife vibes in Thimphu is one of the mostvibrant. However, the place still holds on to traditions as well. It houses several Buddhist monasteries and architectural establishments.

Punakha

Punakha is a popular tourist destination in Bhutan. Located in 1200 meters above sea level Punakha offers an enchanting view of the surroundings. Punakha is an important place for agriculture in Bhutan. Two rivers Po Chhu and Mo Chhu, flowing through through the valley make the soil fertile and appropriate for paddy farming. In addition, the climate of Panukha is suitable for agriculture as it is warmer than Thimphu or Paro.

Trongsa

Trongsa offers a stunning bird-eye view of the surroundings as it is situated at a very high altitude. It is located in the Central Bhutan. The backdrop of grey colour mountain sets a mesmerising view of the place and the surrounding valley. Trongsa is an important place of Bhutan and has great historical significance. It connects the region of Gelephu and Bumthang. Therefore, works as a connection between East and West Bhutan. The dzong and the watchtower of Trongsa are proofs that it had been a place of great importance for east-west trading in the ancient past.
